Having been influenced by his birthplace – the exotic beauty that is Sri Lanka, and the sprawling landscapes of New Zealand where he now lives, Haran’s work reflects a blend of the Eastern and Western cultures.
His early love for art stemmed from having an art teacher and an amateur photographer for parents. Having also sought a career in electrical engineering, Haran’s lifelong passion resulted in him applying his skills as a photographer, a pursuit which now spans six years of experience.
He finds the interesting angles and precision in his photography to be reminiscent of his training as an engineer.
Haran particularly enjoys portraiture, aiming to bring out the subject’s personality in each captured moment. He continually looks forward to giving his viewers new perspectives on everyday life.
