Trash The Dress

Friday 11th September, 2009

Other than some directional issues on the whereabouts of our shoot location, the day was a great success.

Natalie was incredibly professional in all aspects of her modeling.  Willing to brave the beautiful but quite freezing waterfall location, she was happy to take direction without question as well as contributing her own thoughts and ideas. Even I rolled up my jeans and got my toes wet (and numb) but ‘hats off’ to Natalie for being such a great sport.

Great to work with you Natalie, we all had fun (despite the cold conditions); I look forward to working with you again.

Kerryn and Alistair pre-wedding photoshoot

Tuesday 1st September, 2009

When doing wedding photography (or any photography for that matter), it really helps to get to know the couple as well as I can in the small timeframe available. This can be hard with stress, limited time and the photography being only one aspect of what needs organizing for the big day.

That is why I have found it so valuable to get together with the happy couple for a pre-wedding (casual) photo shoot.  As I found out again last Saturday morning - we can all get to know each other a little better, have some fun and get a better understanding of what we all want, without the pressures of the big day upon us.

We had a great time with Kerryn and Alistair and now they are more relaxed and therefore look better in front of the camera.  Thanks again guys and good luck with all the preparations! We’re looking forward to the main event
